It supports economic growth, fosters environmental sustainability with green infrastructure, and ensures community alignment through stakeholder engagement, promoting connectivity to key destinations and long-term resilience.
2
Scope
The project focuses on assessing transportation needs, establishing a community-supported vision for the 3.43-mile Commerce Street Corridor, and developing a preferred design concept with preliminary engineering and final design. Through meaningful public participation, the design aims to enhance safer intersections, multimodal connectivity, and improved drainage while strengthening flood resiliency, ensuring a more efficient and sustainable corridor for the community.

This program supports surface transportation infrastructure projects that deliver significant local or regional benefits, particularly in historically disadvantaged and socially vulnerable communities.
